Former soldier Li Zhi Cheng was asked to take over his family's company as things started to go south. He meets Lin Qian, a skilled and independent white-collar worker who had just graduated and was having trouble launching her own firm, in a fateful encounter. Nobody in the business community had high hopes for Li Zhi Cheng, the newly appointed CEO of Wen Da, because of his utter lack of commercial expertise. However, with the assistance of Li Zhi Cheng's wits and strategies and Lin Qian's work ethic, they take Wen Da's company to new heights. Kim Jin, 25, plays Li Zhi Cheng, a military commander who returns to solve his family company issue as CEO. Li Zhi Cheng is a homonym for "with sincerity." As they work together on their individual career travels, they run upon Zanilia's fashion designer character Lin Qian, and sparks ignite between the two. The first episode shows Li's character bravely saving the woman during a gunfight, but it isn't until episode eight that she recognises him. Li eventually musters up the confidence to confess his love, asking her outright, "Are you prepared to...be my comrade?" they chat late into the night in the office, intrigued by their shared experience. Li believes and wants for his relationship to be similar to that of a commander and adjutant, where "she is going to follow me, obeying without opposition," in line with his military worldview. Who would have thought that Zanilia's persona would answer with a smile and say, "I would do everything asked," furthering the romance? She unintentionally falls just as they were enjoying their conversation; this provides Li with the ideal opportunity to reach out and grab her by the arm. The two then make their first kissing contact, which elevates their romance to a new level.
